The Sun beer garden. A nice spot and Lancaster is interesting, if rather grim. Lancaster Castle is very grim (no photos allowed, it is still a working court) but the tour is enlightening--I found out that Queen Elizabeth 11 is the 'Duke' of Lancaster and the Duchy is so important because it brings in a fair amount of her wealth. Also, the German citizen Pilates was imprisoned here during WW1 and developed the Pilates exercise method during his time in the cell. The Pendle witches were held for six months in the dungeon. The Sun beer garden. A nice spot and Lancaster is interesting, if rather grim.
